Soft Tissue Fillers

Fill your wrinkles from the inside out to create a subtle look

For a subtle and anti-ageing treatment

Dr Chris Snijman prefers to inject Dermal Fillers to create a subtle look and natural result*

Dermal fillers have risen in popularity with the same gusto as Botulinum toxin (Botox) did in the early 2000’s – the difference being that Dermal Fillers offer an alternative to Fat Fill procedures in that they use bioengineered non-permanent Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to fill your wrinkles from the inside out.

This non-permanent option reduces risk and time in the treatment process, and allows the patient to experiment with different results. Each treatment is also reversible adding a safety net should the patient want to revert. This has never happened with Dr Chris Snijman as he prefers to inject Dermal Fillers to create a subtle look and natural result* but it is a benefit worth mentioning nonetheless.

What is Hyaluronic Acid (HA)?

Dr Chris Snijman uses only gold standard bioengineered HA Dermal Fillers

HA is a naturally occurring polysaccharide. It is present in nearly every living organism on this planet and it is responsible for moisture balance and hydration in the human skin. Dr Chris Snijman uses only gold standard bioengineered HA Dermal Fillers to plump your wrinkles up from the inside out.

New products and Techniques

The skin rejuvenation qualities of HA and latest techniques have led to a multitude of new treatment options in the fight against ageing. Dermal Fillers can treat nearly all wrinkles and also improve:

  • Lip outline
  • Lip volume
  • Cheek volume
  • Corrections to the nose
  • Smokers lines
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Mentolabial folds

The list goes on and on….

What can I expect?

Treatment lasts between 30 minutes to 60 minutes

Dermal Fillers are injected into the skin below the wrinkle. This means some precaution is normally used to alleviate some discomfort from the needle. Dr Chris Snijman can either use dental blocks or topical anaesthetic cream. Latest products on the market today also come with lidocaine to further reduce pain and swelling.

Each patient receives his or her own sterile syringe and a treatment lasts between 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on application.

After each treatment you can expect some redness and mild swelling, but this will dissipate after a day or so.

Combination treatments

Dermal Fillers are very often used in conjunction with Botulinum toxin (Botox/Dysport). This relationship enables long-term anti-ageing, but Dr Chris Snijman will also use Dermal Fillers in conjunction with Facelift surgery or Blepharoplasty surgery to further enhance the final result*.

The advantage of Dermal Fillers is that while they eliminate your wrinkles, they also improve skin quality, skin thickness and skin hydration* – which are primary causes for premature ageing.
